Blog Talkers (#2)
List three things you did this past week. Out of those three: what was the most fun? What made it fun?Blog Talkers Homepage:
It's been a really busy week here in our household. My husband has had some time off this week for the holiday, so we took advantage of the extra time and packed up the kids and went on a few road trips. My three favorite things I (we) did this week:

1. Trip to Bisbee, Arizona--what a lovely town with it's laid back atmosphere and very friendly people. The main street is filled with art shops, pottery, and handmade jewelry. We walked up and down the street, took pictures, and stopped at an outside coffee shop. A very enjoyable afternoon.
2. Fall baking with the kids--I always love any opportunity to bake in the kitchen with my kids. My oldest daughter is always asking me what things are and how to do this and that. I love to teach her things that she will one day teach her own children. We baked breads, cookies, and made some soups. A great day with lots of memories made.
3. Trip to Tombstone--(will be blogging about this later)--We had a great time walking down this historical street and seeing buildings like the OK Corral, the old Birdcage Theater, and Bignose Kate's Saloon. We took lots of pictures and bought too many souvenirs but we had a great time.My favorite of all three events has to be Fall baking with the kids. I love any opportunity to spend a comfortable, fun day at home with them creating memories that will last me a lifetime. They are really great kids and I enjoy being with them which makes things fun and enjoyable. I know that one day very soon they will feel like they are too old to spend time with me, and I don't want to miss a moment of their childhood.

Oh I so want to go to Tombstone! Thanks for reminding me of that! I think I will find a weekend in November to take hubby and the kids there. October is packed already. Why is it when fall hits, our calendar fills up? Oh ya, it's COOLER outside. LOL
Have a great week!
I'd love to walk round all those craft shops with the handmade goods I think it would be so inspiring or possibly depressing it all depends on that months creativity success I guess.
Great 3 things, all of them sound fun specially creating new memories of spending time with your daughter cooking.
It's the little things like this we remember when we ourselves are adults.
Hmmm. Based on you go to Tombstone, you have me wondering if your husband is stationed where my husband went to AIT. We went to Tombstone when we were there.....it was pretty neat!!
OH my oh my. That squash soup sounds wonderful. I just so happens I have a squash and some pears lying around this week. I think I might have to do some menu plan rewriting! lol
Oh, that Tombstone place looks exactly like those little villages do in the old wild west movies :D.
Sounds like a great week, and I thought I was busy! Thanks for your comment on my blog, glad I popped by...
