Photo Hunters (#9)--Fake (Reproduction)

For this weeks theme, Fake, I used the definition of fake to mean a reproduction. This photo is of a reproduction of a Shaker bench. The Shakers are for their simple ways, their wonderful inventions (the circular saw, the broom, the clothespin), and their beautiful design.

This rock maple bench was a piece that was bought from a company that makes Shaker reproduction furniture. We bought this as a kit and my husband assembled, stained, and weaved the seating.
